What does a perfect Sardinian family morning look like? Probably this: breakfast on the terrace, a short stroll through an underpass and toes in the fine, light sand of Platamona beach before the day has warmed up. Bella Italia Sardinia, a four-star campsite on the north-western coast at Marina di Sorso, makes that routine wonderfully easy.
Is it a good choice for little ones? Absolutely. The sea off Platamona is shallow and slopes gently, so toddlers can paddle while older children swim a little further out. Back at camp, a large outdoor pool and a separate paddling pool take care of the afternoons, while the miniclub fills the days with activities and the mini disco closes them in style.
Where will you sleep? Choose one of 112 new mobile homes, one of 20 renovated bungalows or the camper area, all spread over about 10 hectares of pine-shaded, gently sloping ground. Six sanitary blocks with 117 showers keep things comfortable. The 300-seat restaurant-pizzeria with veranda serves Mediterranean dishes, the bar and ice cream parlour handle breakfast and treats, and the minimarket covers the daily basics.
And beyond the gate? Sorso is 6 km away, Sassari 17 km, Castelsardo 20 km and Alghero 40 km, with Stintino at 45 km and the famous La Pelosa beach at 50 km. Book with Vistacamp and we will help you shape a family holiday that mixes sandy mornings, pool afternoons and Sardinian day trips.

Two outdoor pools make up the water world at Bella Italia Sardinia: a large rectangular pool for swimming and lazy floating, and a separate paddling pool made for toddlers and little ones, with a children's area alongside. Water games add to the fun, so there is always something to splash around with. Dogs are not allowed in the pool area, which keeps it relaxed for swimmers. After a morning on the beach, an afternoon by the water is the perfect second act of the day.

Surroundings
Bella Italia Sardinia sits on Sardinia's north-western coast, with a panoramic outlook over the Gulf of Asinara. Inland, the Romangia area rolls out in vineyards, olive groves and sun-baked Mediterranean scenery, perfect for a lazy countryside drive. Town life is close too: Sorso is 6 km away, Porto Torres 12 km, Sassari 17 km and Castelsardo 20 km, so you can swap vines for a change of scene whenever the mood strikes. “Head through the underpass straight after breakfast: Platamona's long sandy beach is wonderfully inviting in the morning, and the shallow water suits toddlers perfectly.
Late afternoon belongs to the pools. The large pool and separate paddling pool are ideal for winding down after a salty beach day.
Alghero, 40 km away, makes a brilliant day out. Leave after breakfast and be back in time for pizza at the campsite restaurant.
Stintino is 45 km away and La Pelosa beach 50 km, so combine them into one full coastal day.
Travelling with a dog? Declare it at check-in, bring its health certificate and remember that the pool area is off-limits for four-legged friends.
We love the evenings: the mini disco is where younger children dance off the last of their energy before bedtime.
Mobile home guests park centrally, just outside the mobile home zone, and parking is already included in the price.
Need bread, fruit or a souvenir? The minimarket on site has you covered, no car trip required.
Sassari, 17 km away, is our pick when you want a taste of city life.
Stop by the excursion desk to plan your days out along the north-west coast.”
