Camping Club Del Sole Le Mimose Family Resort lies directly beside the Adriatic Sea on a flat coastal plain. The immediate landscape combines a pebble beach, maritime vegetation, landscaped gardens, cycle paths and the urban waterfront of Porto Sant’Elpidio. Inland, gentle Marche hills begin to rise, creating attractive contrasts between seaside scenery, agricultural countryside and historic hilltop villages.

“My first recommendation is to make the most of the resort’s compact layout. The pool, beach, restaurant and accommodation areas are all conveniently close together, which is particularly useful when travelling with younger children. I like how easy it is to move between the pool and sea without constantly organising the car. For families, I would choose accommodation close to the central facilities if possible. That makes it easier to pop back for forgotten beach items, snacks or a midday rest. The onsite market is handy for basics, although it is relatively small, so for a larger food shop I recommend heading into Porto Sant’Elpidio. The beach is another major advantage. It is a pebble beach with a sandy section closer to the water, so beach shoes can be useful for children. The resort also has dedicated dog-friendly facilities, including a dog beach, walking area, dog shower and training services. This is one of the stronger choices in the area if your family holiday includes a four-legged member. For meals, the onsite restaurant is convenient and serves Marche-inspired Italian cuisine, including meat, fish and pizza. The resort also offers takeaway ordering through the Club del Sole app, which is worth using when the children are tired after a full day at the beach. If you want to explore beyond the resort, hire bicycles and follow the coastal cycle route. The Adriatic cycleway runs along this part of the Marche coastline and connects Porto Sant’Elpidio with Porto San Giorgio, Torre di Palme, Pedaso, Grottammare and San Benedetto del Tronto. Finally, allow time for at least one inland excursion. Fermo, Loreto and Recanati give you a very different side of the Marche, with historic centres, churches, museums and hilltop views contrasting beautifully with the relaxed Adriatic setting.”
