About Camping Tikayan Les Cigales

What happens when a Provence pine forest meets an Inca temple? You get Tikayan Les Cigales, a five-star holiday park on the edge of Le Muy in the Var. At its heart sits a 16,000 m² water park with nine pools, including a 400 m² lagoon with a giant waterfall, a 120 m current river and a 75 m looping slide launching from a Mayan pyramid. Siblings can race down the 4-lane, 35 m pentagliss, while toddlers splash in the paddling pools. Is it for tents and caravans? Not this time. Les Cigales is a pure rental park, with air-conditioned mobile homes and chalets for 1 to 10 people, so you arrive, unpack and head straight for the slides. Children aged 4 to 12 have a free kids' club during Easter and summer, teenagers get a Teen Club in summer, and the whole family can count on day and evening animation, concerts, karaoke, dance nights and fireworks. And the beach? Honestly, it is not on the doorstep. The sea is about 20 km away, roughly 25 minutes by car, with sandy Saint-Aygulf beach at 23 km, so think of the coast as a day trip and the water park as your daily beach. In between lie vineyards and Mediterranean forest, with Fréjus 16 km away and Draguignan 14 km away.

Surroundings

Le Muy sits on the Argens plain in the Var, framed by the Massif des Maures and the Massif de l'Estérel. Around you: Mediterranean forests, vineyards, wooded hills and umbrella pines, with the park itself tucked into a pine-covered hillside at the edge of the village. It is not all wilderness: Le Muy has about 10,000 inhabitants and lies on the N7 and A8, so a few homes look towards the motorway. Towns are within easy reach: Draguignan 14 km, Fréjus 16 km, and the coast about 20 km away.

“We recommend packing proper swimming trunks and swimsuits: swim shorts, burkinis and wetsuits are banned in the water park, and a wristband is compulsory for everyone. Travelling in spring? We love the heated lagoon, kids' paddling pool and bubble pool from April to mid-June, though the heating is switched off in July and August. In spring the slides open from 14:00-18:00, so we suggest mornings at the pools and afternoons on the Mayan pyramid. In peak weeks the pools can get crowded and sunbeds are limited, so we advise heading down early; the pools close at 19:00. We recommend withdrawing cash before you arrive, as there is no cash machine on site. For beach days we suggest sandy Saint-Aygulf, 23 km away, and leaving early. Booking July or August? Arrivals are on Saturday or Sunday with a minimum of seven nights, so we advise planning early. Travelling with a dog? Dogs under 40 kg are welcome at €5 per day.”
