“My first recommendation is to make full use of the aquatic area, particularly if you are travelling with younger children. The combination of the indoor heated pool, outdoor pool, slides and children's water features means there is plenty to do even when the Breton weather is changeable. The covered pool is particularly useful outside the height of summer, while sunny days are ideal for spreading out around the outdoor pool. For the beach, we would recommend making the short journey to Plage du Ster rather than limiting your holiday to the campsite. It is close enough for a spontaneous afternoon by the sea, while the wider coastline around Penmarc’h is excellent for walking and cycling. The area around Pointe de la Torche is especially rewarding if your family enjoys surfing or dramatic Atlantic scenery. Cycling is another excellent way to experience the region. Bike hire is available, and the surrounding countryside provides a much more intimate view of the Pays Bigouden than simply driving between attractions. If you enjoy local food, keep an eye on the campsite restaurant and nearby fishing ports. Le Guilvinec is particularly worth visiting for its working harbour and strong seafood identity. Finally, allow time simply to enjoy the campsite itself. The combination of a compact family atmosphere, clean facilities, friendly service and swimming facilities makes Cap Finistère particularly well suited to families who want activities available without staying in a huge holiday complex.
