Wecamp Cadaqués sits between the Mediterranean Sea and rugged Cap de Creus mountains. The immediate landscape combines rocky coves, pine-covered slopes, Mediterranean scrub, granite outcrops and steep coastal paths. Cadaqués’ whitewashed buildings overlook a sheltered bay, while Portlligat and the Cap de Creus Natural Park provide spectacular sea views, hiking routes and secluded beaches.

“Our advice for Wecamp Cadaqués is to make the location itself part of your holiday. This is not somewhere we would recommend simply staying on site all day. The great advantage is being able to combine a relaxed resort morning with an afternoon exploring the surrounding Costa Brava. For families, we suggest starting with the pool while temperatures are cooler, then walking towards Portlligat or Cadaqués later in the day. Portlligat is especially worthwhile because the Salvador Dalí connection gives the area something quite different from a conventional beach holiday. Boat trips, Cap de Creus excursions and a visit to Portlligat are among the highlights of the area. If you enjoy walking, bring comfortable footwear. The landscape is spectacular but distinctly rugged, with hills, rocky paths and uneven surfaces. Cycling is another excellent way to explore, although the surrounding terrain is better suited to families who are comfortable with some climbing. For a quieter holiday, I would personally favour May, June or September. You can still enjoy the Mediterranean climate while making the most of walking, beaches and sightseeing without relying entirely on the busiest summer weeks. The accommodation style is another reason to choose carefully. Glamping is excellent for families wanting comfort and atmosphere, while the pitches are particularly suited to motorhomes and caravans. Private tents are not accepted on the pitches.”
