Camping Wecamp Santa Cristina sits in a peaceful Mediterranean landscape between the wooded Les Gavarres hills and the Costa Brava coastline. Around the resort are pine, cork-oak and holm-oak forests, rolling valleys, agricultural countryside and the Ridaura valley. Within 15 kilometres, the scenery changes dramatically to rocky coastal cliffs, sandy beaches, sheltered coves and sparkling Mediterranean waters around Sant Feliu de Guíxols and Platja d’Aro.

“Our first recommendation is to make the most of the woodland setting. The accommodation is integrated into a Mediterranean landscape of pines and cork oaks, giving the resort a noticeably greener, more relaxed character than many coastal holiday parks. Guests particularly appreciate the combination of comfortable accommodation, trees and generous outdoor space, so we would choose a terrace-facing accommodation whenever possible. For families, the pool is one of the easiest places to settle into the holiday rhythm. The resort's pool area has loungers and a children's section, while the kids' club, playground and sports facilities give children alternatives when they have had enough swimming. The official pool information currently lists opening from 10:00 to 20:00, so families who prefer an early swim should plan around that schedule. I would also recommend having a car. Although Santa Cristina d'Aro is nearby, the surrounding Costa Brava is best experienced by visiting several different beaches and coves rather than staying in one resort. Sant Feliu de Guíxols and Platja d'Aro are particularly easy outings, while Palamós is excellent for a longer coastal excursion. Cycling enthusiasts should investigate the Carrilet greenway, which passes through the region, while walkers can explore the forest and coastal trails. For a special family day, combine a beach visit with Aquadiver; for something quieter, explore the prehistoric Cova d'en Daina. The accommodation is another strong point. Current information highlights comfortable mobile homes, lodges, glamping tents and pitches, with some accommodation specifically accepting pets. If travelling with a dog or cat, check the individual accommodation before booking, as pets are not accepted in every tent type.”
