“I would choose Les Brillas when you want a holiday that feels relaxed rather than oversized, while still giving children plenty to do. The pool is a major plus, particularly outside the hottest part of summer, and the covered, heated design makes it useful on cooler Atlantic days too. I would plan your swimming time earlier in the day if possible, as the pool can become lively at peak family times. For accommodation, the newer mobile homes are worth considering if comfort is important. Several holidaymakers particularly appreciate the modern, spacious feel, air conditioning in selected models and practical equipment such as dishwashers. If you are bringing a caravan, motorhome or tent, the pitches are generously sized, averaging around 150 m², which gives you more breathing room than many compact coastal sites. Families with younger children should definitely look at the Happy Club and the mini-farm. The combination of animals, playground facilities and organised activities gives children an easy way to make friends. In July and August, I would also keep an eye on the evening programme: karaoke, concerts, pétanque, family games, themed meals and other activities create a pleasant holiday rhythm without making the whole resort feel dominated by entertainment. One final tip: bring bikes if you can. The coastal villages and beaches around Les Moutiers-en-Retz are close enough to make short cycling outings especially enjoyable, and you can save the car for bigger excursions such as Pornic or Planète Sauvage.”
