On Sardinia's untamed north coast, where Gallura's wind-sculpted rocks meet eight kilometres of blinding white sand, lies Camping Village Baia Paradiso — northern Sardinia in its purest form. Immersed in a 9-hectare forest of junipers and maritime pines, this is a place where nature does the styling. The resort sits in Li Parisi, just 3 km from the village of Badesi, perched above the legendary Li Junchi beach — an 8 km long stretch of white sand that has become the island's worst-kept secret. A path of about 400 meters, partly flat and partly pebbly, leads down through the dunes to the sea. From mid-June to mid-September, a packed programme of daytime and evening entertainment. Two outdoor pools take care of the splashing: a larger, deeper one for proper lengths and a smaller, shallow one that suits younger swimmers. A green lawn wraps around both, with sunbeds for lazy afternoons on a first come, first served basis. Pool use is included in the price and is reserved for guests of the campsite, and a swimming cap is compulsory, so pack one for every swimmer.
