Wecamp Cabo de Gata lies inside the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park, surrounded by volcanic hills, dry valleys, Mediterranean scrub and dramatic coastal cliffs. Cala del Cuervo is directly beside the site, while the wider landscape features secluded coves, sandy beaches and clear Mediterranean waters. The semi-arid scenery is particularly distinctive, combining rugged geology with sparse native vegetation and spectacular sea views.

Wecamp Cabo de Gata is particularly well suited to families who enjoy being outdoors, with walking routes, beaches and spectacular coastal scenery immediately around the property. The direct access to Cala del Cuervo means you can easily combine a morning swim or snorkelling session with an afternoon around the pool. If you are travelling with children, the pool is a useful alternative when the sea is rough or when younger children simply want an easy afternoon in the water. The accommodation is another strong point: the current range includes comfortable mobile homes and several glamping styles, including family options, making it possible to enjoy the atmosphere of camping without giving up air conditioning, proper beds and private facilities. I would recommend having a car for exploring the wider Cabo de Gata coastline. Although Las Negras is walkable, the surrounding beaches and viewpoints are spread throughout the natural park. The access road to the campsite is narrow and winding for its final section, so drive slowly and take extra care when meeting another vehicle. For shopping, the small campsite shop is convenient for essentials, but for a larger selection I would use the shops in Las Negras or stock up before arriving. Restaurant and shop opening hours can vary considerably outside peak season, so always check the current timetable locally. Finally, take comfortable walking shoes and water with you. Some of the best experiences here involve leaving the car behind and following the coastal paths to secluded coves and viewpoints.”
