“Treat Camping Wecamp Cudillero as a base for exploring Asturias rather than simply staying within the resort every day. The location gives you a particularly attractive combination of countryside, beaches and one of Spain's most characterful fishing villages. For a relaxed first day, start with the pool and then make the short trip towards Aguilar Beach. The beach is particularly attractive, but remember that the return route involves an uphill section, so families with very young children may prefer taking the car. The surrounding coastline is hilly, which makes the area rewarding for walkers but less suitable for anyone wanting completely flat cycling. For accommodation, we particularly like the Tiny Homes and family bungalows for families wanting their own kitchen and bathroom, while the Cottage Family Tent offers a more authentic glamping experience. The current accommodation range includes family-focused options for up to four or five people, and several accommodation types are pet friendly. The onsite mini-market is useful for everyday essentials and fresh bread, but for a larger grocery shop we recommend heading into Cudillero. During July and August, the onsite bar and snack service is particularly convenient, operating from Wednesday to Sunday with long daytime and evening hours. Finally, make time for Cudillero itself. Wander down through the colourful streets towards the harbour, stop for Asturian seafood and cider, and return later when the village begins to glow in the evening. It is exactly the sort of place that gives this holiday a distinctive northern-Spanish character.”
