About Wecamp San Sebastián

If you want a family holiday combining nature, swimming, beaches and one of northern Spain’s most beautiful cities, Camping Wecamp San Sebastián is an excellent choice. The campsite sits on the green slopes of Monte Igueldo, around 5 km from San Sebastián’s historic centre and approximately 5 km from Ondarreta Beach. The setting gives you that rare combination of countryside tranquillity and easy access to a sophisticated coastal city. What makes it particularly appealing? You can spend the morning by the outdoor swimming pool, take the bus into town for pintxos and sightseeing, then return to the peaceful hillside for the evening. There is an onsite restaurant, supermarket, Wi-Fi, barbecue facilities, children's facilities, laundry services and a choice of mobile homes, glamping accommodation and pitches. Families with younger children and school-age children will find plenty to enjoy, particularly with the children's entertainment and summer activities. The combination of pool, playground, spacious outdoor areas and nearby beaches works especially well for families who want activities without staying inside a large, busy holiday resort. And the big advantage? You do not need to drive into San Sebastián. A municipal bus service operates from the campsite towards the city, with the stop close to the entrance. For families, that makes sightseeing considerably easier. The campsite itself is set on a terraced, wooded site with maple, walnut and pine trees, creating a particularly attractive green backdrop.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, Wecamp San Sebastián offers free 4G internet, although this is only available in certain areas of the campsite.

Surroundings

Set high on Monte Igueldo, the resort overlooks a wonderfully green Basque landscape where wooded hills meet the Bay of Biscay. Around the campsite are forested slopes, meadows, hedgerows and winding coastal paths. Within 15 kilometres, the scenery changes from dramatic Atlantic coastline and sandy beaches to rolling countryside, wooded valleys and the distinctive urban landscape of San Sebastián.

“My advice for Camping Wecamp San Sebastián is to make the bus your best friend. The campsite is beautifully positioned above the city, but driving into central San Sebastián can be unnecessarily complicated. The campsite itself recommends approaching via Ondarreta. The modern accommodation range includes air conditioning, private bathrooms, equipped kitchens and outdoor terraces, while several options are specifically described as family- and pet-friendly. Allow plenty of time for Monte Igueldo itself. The views over the Bay of Biscay are one of the highlights of this location, and the historic amusement park makes it particularly appealing with children. The campsite's hillside setting also means the terrain is noticeably sloping, so comfortable footwear is useful. I would also keep an afternoon free for Ondarreta and La Concha. La Concha is especially suitable for families because its bay is generally sheltered, while Ondarreta gives you a slightly more open coastal setting. Finally, leave room in your itinerary for food. San Sebastián is famous for its pintxos, seafood and sophisticated Basque cuisine, and the campsite's own restaurant specialises in seasonal local flavours, grilled dishes and Basque-inspired specialities.”
