“Book an Oasis-side mobile home if you have under-8s - you can see the splash area from your terrace. Head to S'Abanell early morning for calm sea and perfect sandcastle sand before sea breeze. The bakery in the mini-market bakes fresh croissants at 8am - they sell out fast in July. Pool loungers go quickly at weekends - Spanish seasonal owners love Saturdays, so claim yours by 10am. Try the central pool in late afternoon, it is quieter and golden for photos. Bring water shoes for the kids, the splash zone is non-slip but beach pebbles near Sa Palomera are smoother with them. Padel courts are excellent but book at reception the evening before in high season. For a quiet drink, use the bar behind reception in the evening - less queue than pool bar. Take the coastal path from Blanes to Lloret - 1 hour, stunning views, pushchair-friendly first half. Wednesday is market day in Blanes - great for fruit, beach towels and souvenirs.”
