Camping Le Trivoly lies on the sunny Mediterranean coast of the Pyrénées-Orientales, surrounded by a distinctly Catalan landscape. Around Torreilles-Plage, expect flat coastal countryside, sandy dunes, wetlands, vineyards, orchards and the occasional glimpse of the distant Pyrenees. Within 15 kilometres, the scenery shifts between Torreilles’ relaxed seaside environment, the lively resort of Le Barcarès, the Agly river landscape and the agricultural countryside around Saint-Laurent-de-la-Salanque. The Mediterranean is just 800 metres away, while further inland the landscape becomes increasingly rural, with vineyards and foothills leading towards the dramatic Pyrenees.

“If you want a Mediterranean campsite that combines beach time with a genuinely manageable family setup, Le Trivoly is worth considering. The campsite occupies around five hectares, so you are not dealing with the enormous distances found at some of the region's mega-resorts. That makes getting from your accommodation to the pool, restaurant and children's facilities pleasantly straightforward. My first tip would be to make the swimming pool part of your daily routine. The heated water is a real advantage outside the hottest part of summer, while the three slides give older children something more exciting than simply splashing around. Younger children have their own lagoon and water-play features. The beach is another major advantage. At approximately 800 metres, it is close enough to walk or cycle, and the flat terrain makes bicycles particularly useful here. I would definitely hire bikes for at least a day and follow the coastal paths towards Le Barcarès. The campsite restaurant and bar are handy for those evenings when nobody wants to cook, while the onsite grocery and bread service make breakfast easy. For a larger supermarket shop, I would head towards Saint-Laurent-de-la-Salanque. For sightseeing, don't restrict yourself to Perpignan. Collioure makes a particularly lovely day trip, while Le Barcarès is excellent for a more relaxed evening by the marina. And if you have children who love rides, keep Luna Park on your summer list. One final tip: the campsite is very family-oriented, and the busiest entertainment period is July and August. If you prefer a quieter holiday, early or late season is the clever alternative.”
