“Camping Les Mûriers is one of my favorite recommendations for those who want a true "South of France" experience. My top tip is to prioritize the late afternoon. While the beach is glorious at midday, the local port of Vendres is truly magical as the fishing boats return. Make sure to grab some fresh seafood at the local terraces—it’s the authentic flavor of the region! If you are a nature lover, do not skip the paths around the Vendres lake early in the morning. The birdlife is incredible, and the lighting is perfect for photography before the heat of the day sets in. For those in the VIP cottages, make the most of your private plancha grill! Guests often suggest stopping at a local market for some fresh vegetables and regional wine to grill on your terrace as the sun sets over the pines. Finally, while the site is very self-contained, I highly recommend renting bicycles. The terrain between Vendres and Valras is relatively flat and incredibly scenic. It’s the best way to bypass the occasional summer road traffic and find those "secret" spots along the dunes that most tourists miss. Pack light, embrace the siesta culture, and let the Mediterranean breeze do the rest. ”
