Camping Olympia lies in the dramatic Amblève Valley, surrounded by wooded hills, rocky slopes and meandering rivers. Within 10 km, the landscape includes the Ninglinspo mountain stream, forest trails, limestone formations, steep valleys and quiet Ardennes villages. It is an excellent setting for hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, climbing and wildlife spotting, with nature very much at the heart of the holiday.

“My first tip for Camping Olympia is simple: pack walking shoes and bring bikes if you can. The location is one of the campsite’s greatest strengths. You are in the Amblève Valley, with wooded hills, rivers and some of the most attractive walking landscapes in the Ardennes surrounding you. The Ninglinspo is particularly worth putting high on your list; it is a spectacular mountain stream with bridges, woodland paths and natural pools. For families, we would also recommend keeping at least one day relatively free for spontaneous outdoor fun. The campsite offers canoeing, mountain biking, archery, outdoor scooters, GPS activities and other adventure experiences, so you do not need to plan every excursion before arrival. The two heated swimming pools are another reason we like the site for families. They provide an easy way to unwind after a day walking, cycling or exploring the caves. Recent campsite feedback has specifically praised the swimming pool, friendly team, restaurant and beautiful surrounding area. For younger children, put the Remouchamps Caves and Monde Sauvage on your itinerary. Older children and teenagers are likely to enjoy the more adventurous options, particularly the Carrienta challenge activities and canoeing. One practical tip: the campsite is terraced and some areas involve slopes, so it is worth considering the location of your accommodation when travelling with very young children or anyone with limited mobility. Please note that the terraced layout is not suitable for people with reduced mobility. Finally, if you are staying in a glamping accommodation, check exactly what is included before travelling. The range includes safari tents, FeelGood Lodges, CoCo Sweet and a distinctive Tipi Home overlooking the river. The Tipi Home is particularly unusual and there is only one of this accommodation type.”
