Camping Club Del Sole Tenuta Primero lies beside the shallow waters and tidal wetlands of the Grado Lagoon. Within 10 kilometres, the landscape is predominantly flat, coastal and exceptionally green, with salt marshes, reed beds, pine woodland, sandy shoreline and small lagoon islands. The nearby Valle Cavanata Nature Reserve provides excellent birdwatching, while the Adriatic coastline creates a peaceful maritime setting.

“I would suggest making Primero Waterland your first stop after arrival. The 2026 redevelopment has transformed the former pool area into a much larger water experience, with more than 2,000m² of pools, a lagoon with gentle slides, a spray park, wellness pool, river pool and a dedicated shallow children's pool. For families with toddlers, that 50cm-deep children's pool is particularly useful. I would also plan at least one proper beach day, but explain to the children beforehand that this is a lagoon environment rather than a conventional deep-water beach. The tide changes the appearance dramatically. At low tide, children can explore exposed sandbanks and shallow water, while stronger swimmers can use the jetty. The floating waterpark is another excellent option for older children. If you have active children or teenagers, don't overlook the enormous choice of sports. Padel, tennis, football, basketball, pickleball, beach volleyball, SUP and other watersports are available, while bicycle hire makes exploring the area much easier. For parents, I would recommend allowing some time away from the children's programme. The 18-hole Golf Club Grado is directly beside the resort, and the marina gives Tenuta Primero a more sophisticated atmosphere than a conventional camping village. One practical tip is to budget for extras. Guest feedback indicates that some services, including certain sports facilities and beach or pool equipment, can involve additional charges. The onsite supermarket is convenient but may be more expensive than larger supermarkets outside the resort. Finally, take mosquito repellent for summer evenings. The lagoon and wetland environment is beautiful but can mean more insects after sunset. And if you prefer cycling to driving, use the routes towards Grado; the resort's location makes exploring the surrounding lagoon landscape particularly enjoyable by bike.”
