About Camping Tikayan Les Palmiers

Where does a Mexican fiesta meet the Mediterranean? At Tikayan Les Palmiers, a 4-star holiday club in L'Ayguade, just outside Hyères. Palm trees, bright colours and a lively water park set the tone from the first morning, while your mobile home puts you only 300 m from the sea. What will the children actually do all day? Quite a lot. The water park has four pentaslides, a tube slide, a lazy river, waterfalls and a paddling pool with water jets for toddlers. Kids' clubs for ages 4-6 and 6-12 run in the holidays, and the free family animation carries on into the evening with shows around the lit pool, karaoke and themed nights. And when you want to explore? Kiddy Parc, with a 4,000 m² water park, 35 activities, tree-top courses and mini karts, is about 4 km away. Hyères old town, Villa Noailles and Château d'Hyères are about 6 km away. Boats to Porquerolles island take just 15 minutes from the Giens peninsula, and Port-Cros can also be reached by boat from Hyères. Kite and windsurf fans will love the Almanarre, a world-famous spot. Parents are looked after too: a sauna and hammam, a fitness room, tennis, mini golf and boules, all free to use, plus a restaurant-pizzeria, supermarket and ice-cream shop on site. Our advice? The Mexican-style water park is the beating heart of the campsite. Race down four pentaslides and a tube slide, drift along the lazy river, or unwind in the bubbling baths, under the waterfalls and massage jets. A 90 m² pool offers counter-current swimming, and there is a small grotto and a mushroom feature to explore. Toddlers have their own paddling pool with water jets, and solariums invite you to sunbathe. The water park is open from spring into autumn and is accessed with a wristband. Swim shorts, full-body suits, burkinis and wetsuits are not allowed, so pack classic swimming trunks.

The animation team organises diving outings, towed-buoy rides and water polo. About 2 km away you will find a yacht club and options for diving, sailing, windsurfing and kitesurfing. The Le Mérou kitesurf spot at L'Ayguade beach is open all year, and the Almanarre is a world-famous kite and windsurf spot for watching or trying.

The Mediterranean is just 300 m away, with beach access between the ports of Hyères and L'Ayguade. A short drive takes you to the Almanarre, about 4 km of sand and pebbles between the sea and the Pesquiers lagoon, holder of the Blue Flag and Tourisme & Handicap labels. The Aquavillage inflatable water park near Hyères port adds extra splashing fun.
