Pineta sul Mare Camping Village lies in a flat Adriatic coastal landscape, surrounded by mature maritime pine forest, sandy beaches, coastal vegetation and waterways. Within 10 kilometres, the terrain remains predominantly low-lying, with the Cervia salt pans, pinewoods around Pinarella and Tagliata, agricultural fields and Cesenatico’s coastal environment. The area combines nature, seaside scenery and landscaped holiday surroundings.

Pineta sul Mare feels greener and more sheltered than a conventional beachfront resort, and the mature maritime pines provide welcome shade during the hottest part of the day. The lagoon pool is particularly appealing for families with younger children because of its soft bottom, water games, slides and shallow areas. Guests can also make use of the facilities and services at Camping Cesenatico, 300m away, run by the same administration. This includes animation, pools and restaurant. If your children are between 4 and 14, I would make the entertainment programme part of your holiday rather than simply an optional extra. The Mini and Young Clubs provide organised activities around the pool and beach, while teenagers have their own Junior Club programme with sports and water activities. Evening entertainment includes shows, dancing and the popular pool parties. For younger families, I would also look carefully at the location of your accommodation. Guests have particularly appreciated accommodation close to the playground and pool, while the spacious verandas and green surroundings are useful for relaxed family evenings. The beach is approximately 500 metres away, but remember that this is a holiday village rather than a campsite directly on the sand. The campsite provides access to equipped beaches and a shuttle service, while the centre of Cesenatico can be reached by bicycle or the evening shuttle. For meals, don't feel you need to cook every night. There are several restaurants and food outlets, including Locanda dei Pini, beachfront dining and the piadina kiosk. Romagna specialities, seafood and pizza make eating out particularly easy with children. Travelling with a dog? Pineta sul Mare is particularly well equipped. Dogs are accepted in suitable accommodation, there is a dedicated dog-friendly beach service, and from summer 2026 dogs can access the shoreline during designated early-morning and evening hours. Finally, set aside one evening for Cesenatico's canal harbour. The shuttle operates from June to September, so you can enjoy the historic centre, restaurants and waterfront atmosphere without moving your car.”
