At Family Camping Serenella you don't need to choose between a lazy lake holiday and a holiday full of action for the kids. You get both, on one flat, easy-to-walk site right on Lake Garda.
The campsite sits directly on the eastern shore between Bardolino and Garda, and you walk to both towns along the lakeside cycle and pedestrian path — Bardolino is just 1 km away, Garda 2 km. In front of the campsite is a free grass-and-pebble beach with a jetty for easy lake swimming, so that first morning dip is literally a few steps from your pitch.
The heart of the campsite is the pool area: a lagoon pool with water games and slides, a shallow 60 cm pool for the little ones, and a deeper pool up to 180 cm for teens and adults. Add the miniclub, creative workshops, playground, game room and Italian animation from mid-May to early September, and the hardest part of the day becomes getting them out of the water for lunch.
Stay in a fully equipped, air-conditioned mobile home with kitchen, bathroom and terrace. The three-bedroom Gabbiano sleeps up to 7, the two-bedroom Tucano Lux up to 5 — ideal if you want the campsite feeling without the set-up.
Restaurant Ca' Rossa, the pizzeria, bar, ice-cream parlour and shop with fresh bread mean you never have to cook if you don't want to. And when you do want a big day out, Gardaland is 13 km away and Verona 32 km.
Our tip: do one big day out, then let the lake set the pace for the rest.

The pool complex is the beating heart of the campsite: three outdoor pools, each with its own crowd. The lagoon pool has water games and slides, a 60 cm pool gives toddlers and small children their own splash zone, and the deeper pool, up to 180 cm and about 300 m², is made for adults and teenagers. Two of the three pools are heated in spring and autumn, and the pools are open from spring to autumn, weather permitting. Sun loungers and umbrellas around the pools are free to use, so just bring a towel.

Surroundings
Serenella sits at about 70 m above sea level between Bardolino and Garda, where the lakeshore rolls into gentle hills, vineyards and fields, with mountains on the skyline. Hiking and cycling trails weave through this patchwork, and the flat lakeside path links the campsite to Bardolino (1 km) and Garda (2 km). Punta San Vigilio, a scenic headland, lies a little further to the north-west. For a taste of city life, Verona is 32 km away, while Gardaland adds a theme-park day just 13 km from your door.
“Arriving in the evening? Check-in for mobile homes runs from 17:00 to 22:00, and the campsite only asks you to tell them about later arrivals.
Pack rock shoes for the lake: they make stepping into the water from the pebbly shore much more comfortable for everyone.
Mornings are made for the lakeside path: cycle or stroll to Bardolino (1 km) for a coffee, then carry on to Garda (2 km).
Gardaland is only 13 km away, so ask at reception about tickets and tour information before you set off.
Travelling with a toddler? The 60 cm pool with water games is perfect, and cribs and high chairs can be rented onsite.
Sun loungers and umbrellas around the pools are free to use, so all you need to bring is a towel.
Verona deserves a full day: it is 32 km from the campsite, so start with breakfast at Ca' Rossa and go from there.
Booking a mobile home? Keep €100 in cash handy for the deposit on arrival.
Water sports fan? Waterskiing, wakeboarding and banana-boat rides are on offer at the lake's water sports centre, for a fee.
After dinner, let the children join the evening events and the kids' disco while you linger over an ice cream.”

Nice fine family campsite within walking distance of Bardolino and garda. Smaller scale than average on Lake Garda some pitches are very small, just be careful if you book with a larger caravan etc.
