About Paestum Camping Village

What happens when a 2,100 m² water park meets a pine-fringed Mediterranean hideaway? You get Paestum Camping Village, a Campania favourite for more than 50 years, spread over 8 hectares of scrub, pines and olive trees. Three pools, five slides and a lagoon give the children a headline for every day of the holiday. Where will you sleep? In a mobile home or on a roomy grass pitch of 80 to 120 m², where trees and shrubs add shade and privacy and electricity comes in 3, 6 or 10 A. Evenings start with a pizza at the restaurant-pizzeria, which also caters for food intolerances, followed by a stroll to the bar terrace. Is the sea on your list? The private sandy beach is 500 m away, with a gently sloping seabed, lifeguards and a beach bar. Walk through the pine forest or hop on the free shuttle in high season. Back at the village, the Mini Club and Junior Club, daytime animation and evening shows keep the whole family busy, with tennis, basketball, bocce and table tennis for spare energy. Craving culture? The temples and museum of Paestum are only 10 km away, Salerno is 33 km, the Amalfi Coast 50 km and Pompeii 60 km. Staff can arrange excursions along the Amalfi Coast and to Capri. Our specialists will gladly help you plan the days, so you can book with confidence and arrive ready for slides, sand and Italian sunsets.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, free wifi is available in the common areas at Paestum Camping Village. It is handy for sharing holiday snaps, checking the route to the temples of Paestum or planning your next excursion. Our Vistacamp specialists are happy to help you prepare the details before you travel.

Surroundings

Around the campsite the landscape is green, calm and unhurried. Pine and eucalyptus forest, olive trees, poplars and Mediterranean scrub frame the village, and a pinewood separates the pitches from the beach along the coastal strip. Inland lies the Sele plain, with the town of Eboli close by. The temples of Paestum are 10 km away, Salerno 33 km and the Amalfi Coast 50 km, so peaceful nature and big sightseeing days sit side by side.

“Start the pool day in the lagoon: four slides, including the two-lane Bumma, win over even the hardest-to-impress teenagers. Pack a swimming cap for everyone, because they are compulsory in the pools, and you will be splashing within minutes. Morning beach people, note that the free shuttle in July and August runs 08:30-13:30 and 16:00-19:00, leaving plenty of time for sandcastles. Paestum at sunrise? Absolutely. The Temple of Athena and the museum are only 10 km away, and the softer light makes the stones glow. Booking an Amalfi Coast day? The team on site can arrange excursions to the coast, 50 km away, and across the water to Capri. Pizza fans, watch for the restaurant-pizzeria from June to August: takeaway pizza at your own table is a perfect lazy evening. Choose a pitch for its shade: trees and shrubs between the plots make afternoons under the Campanian sun far more relaxed. Little ones can join the Mini Club while parents enjoy a coffee on the bar terrace, and the Junior Club welcomes the older children. Salerno, 33 km away, makes an easy city outing, and Pompeii at 60 km rewards an early start. A full beach day in mind? Sunbeds and umbrellas are €35 per day, so you can settle in by the sea until the evening.”
