Camping Butterfly occupies a wonderfully convenient corner of Peschiera del Garda, where Lake Garda meets the Mincio River. The immediate landscape is predominantly green and low-lying, with mature trees, lawns, the lakeshore and the river creating a relaxed holiday setting. Across the water, the hills of southern Lake Garda rise towards the more mountainous northern scenery. Within 15 kilometres, the landscape changes from lakeside promenades and historic Peschiera to vineyards, orchards, fields and the gentle countryside around Valeggio and Monzambano. Meanwhile, the resort atmosphere becomes livelier around Peschiera, with restaurants, shops, marinas, cycling routes and family attractions

“Our biggest tip at Camping Butterfly is to take advantage of its location rather than treating it simply as a base. Peschiera is genuinely walkable from the campsite, and that makes evenings wonderfully easy: leave the car behind, stroll along the lake and settle into a restaurant or gelateria in town. The railway station is also close enough to make train trips to Verona particularly straightforward. For families with younger children, the compact nature of Butterfly is a real advantage. The pool, playground, restaurant and sports facilities are close together, so children can move between activities without parents spending the day trekking across a huge holiday park. The children's entertainment is particularly worth checking during the main summer period, with arts and crafts, games, sports and evening children's shows. The pool has a swimming-cap rule, so pack one before travelling or buy one onsite. Guest feedback also suggests that the slides appeal particularly to younger children rather than thrill-seeking teenagers. If you want a quieter accommodation position, ask about locations away from the boundary with the neighbouring campsite, as evening entertainment there can occasionally be audible. The campsite itself tends to become quiet later in the evening. For sightseeing, use the lake and railway together: boat trips for the Garda villages, trains for Verona or Venice, and the car for Gardaland, Sirmione and the surrounding countryside. That combination lets you see far more without turning every holiday day into a driving day.”
