Known as the Ruta del Tren Petit (Little Train Route), it follows the old railway line that once connected the coast to Girona. “Our first recommendation is to make La Fosca Beach your morning destination. It is only around five minutes on foot, and the route takes you directly towards one of the most attractive beaches in this part of the Costa Brava. The beach has fine sand and a gentle slope into the water, making it particularly suitable for families with younger children. The campsite itself is pleasantly shaded by trees, and we would take advantage of that when choosing between accommodation options. Guests regularly praise the location, peaceful atmosphere, pool and proximity to the beach. For a relaxed afternoon, use the Olympic pool rather than expecting a waterpark-style experience. This is one of those campsites where the pool is designed for proper swimming and unwinding rather than slides and loud pool entertainment. The 33 x 16-metre pool is particularly good for older children who enjoy swimming. If you are staying for a week, put Castell Beach and Cala S'Alguer on your list. The coastal path gives you access to some of the area's most attractive scenery without needing the car. The Greenway is another excellent option for a family cycle ride. Finally, don't underestimate the convenience of the onsite mini-market and restaurant. The shop stocks fresh bread and everyday essentials, while the restaurant means you can have an easy evening meal without heading into town.
