Camping Moulin de Campech – Villefranche-du-Queyran.
Welcome to Camping Moulin de Campech, a serene and green 3-star campsite nestled in the heart of the Lot-et-Garonne region of southwest France. Tucked between the gentle slopes of the Garonne Valley and the lush pine forests of the Landes de Gascogne, this charming site occupies a tranquil, wooded 4.5-hectare plot. Once part of an old water mill, the campsite offers a romantic, countryside feel, with shady pitches, peaceful grassy terraces, and a trout lake where you can unwind by the water.
On site, you’ll find warm, family-friendly facilities: a refreshing outdoor swimming pool, a terrace by the lake – perfect for meals or relaxing breaks, a bar/restaurant, Wi-Fi, and essential services like water and electricity hookups. The sanitary block is well-maintained, with individual washing cabins.
This campsite is ideal for families seeking a calm, nature-rich getaway. Because of its small scale (just 46 pitches) and quiet atmosphere, it’s perfect for couples, families with younger children, and anyone looking to escape the hustle — though it’s less suited for large-group party camping or frenetic animation. Lovers of fishing, walking, cycling, or simple downtime will feel right at home.

Many highlight the peaceful nights — without loud entertainment, you’ll hear just the rustling of trees or the gentle lapping of water at the trout lake. Parents say it’s a quiet haven, perfect for reading, relaxing, or fishing. Several guests recommend pitching near the shaded areas to beat the midday sun, especially if you have young ones or tents that heat up.
Families also appreciate how friendly and personal the service is: the campsite owners are welcoming, and because it’s small, they know many guests by name. The terrace by the lake is a big hit for evening meals — dinner watching the sunset is unbeatable. On the practical side, the sanitary facilities may be modest, but they’re always clean, and you’ll have no problem finding a stall even at busier times.
Cycling around is a favorite among guests: bring your bikes or rent locally, because the roads and forest paths are ideal for gentle family rides. Day-tripping to nearby Agen, medieval châteaux, or the Aquafun lake park keeps both kids and parents entertained.
