“This is one of those resorts where you can genuinely reduce the amount of driving during your holiday: breakfast, swimming, beach time, lunch and an evening stroll can all happen within the resort. The mature trees also provide welcome shade around the camping areas, something particularly useful during the hottest weeks of July and August. For families with younger children, I would check the Mini Club and animation programme as soon as you arrive. The current information confirms children's entertainment and a Mini Club, with the 2026 entertainment staff scheduled from 1 June until 31 August. That makes the main summer months especially lively for families. If your children are older, take advantage of the sports and watersports. The resort has tennis, football, beach volleyball and other sporting facilities, while the onsite windsurfing and wingfoil school makes the bay particularly attractive to active families. The local bay is known for favourable wind conditions, so this is one place where a beach holiday can easily become an active holiday. I would also reserve at least one morning for Vieste itself. The town is only around 5–6 kilometres away, and the old centre gives you a completely different atmosphere from the relaxed beach environment. For a bigger excursion, take a boat trip along the Gargano coast to see the sea caves, or plan a full-day trip to the Tremiti Islands. Travelling with a dog? Le Diomedee is particularly convenient because pets are welcomed in the resort and there is a dedicated dog area, while the operator states that dogs can also access the beach and bathe in the sea subject to the resort rules.”
