Looking for the sunny, unhurried side of Puglia? San Menaio Camping Village Internazionale is a 4-star base on the Gargano coast, set on a terraced hillside with panoramic views, shaded by Aleppo pines and wrapped in Gargano National Park. Here the biggest daily dilemma is pool or beach. Where will you sleep? Our Happy Easy mobile home measures about 25 m² and has two bedrooms, a half-covered wooden terrace with a small electric grill, and air conditioning for warm nights. Water, gas and electricity are included, plus one parking space. Prefer your own tent, caravan or camper? Spacious pitches sit beneath the pines. It is a comfortable home base for a family that wants beach days and sightseeing in equal measure. And when the sun climbs high? Swim in the 20 x 7 m pool and stretch out on the solarium, or stroll 300 m across the road to a fine golden-sand beach with a sloping seabed. That sandy shoreline runs for more than 2.5 km, from Murge Nere to Valazzo, so there is plenty of room for sandcastle engineers and sun worshippers alike. What about the children? In July and August the free mini club and animation entertain children, teenagers and adults by day and in the evening, while the restaurant-pizzeria, with takeaway, takes care of dinner. A baby kit for ages 0-3 is available on request at reception. Rodi Garganico is 4 km away and Peschici 13 km, both with ferries to the Isole Tremiti. Sun, shade, sea and a pizzeria on site: a holiday that practically books itself.

The campsite has one outdoor pool measuring 20 x 7 m, with a depth running from 1.10 m to 3 m, so confident swimmers and cautious paddlers can each find their level. Around it, a sunny solarium offers deckchairs, parasols and sunbeds for a fee. Use of the pool is included in the price, swimming caps are compulsory, and the pool is open from around the end of May to early September, weather permitting. Children can also join swimming lessons.

The sea is 300 m away: simply cross the road and you are on a fine golden-sand public beach with a sloping seabed. Entry is free and the beach is equipped, with parasols and sunbeds for a fee. A beach bar sits about 400 m away, and in July and August a paid shuttle runs to the beach.

The restaurant-pizzeria cooks for the whole family, with a takeaway option for dinner on your terrace. A snack bar and a bar cover quick bites and cold drinks, and the pool bar kiosk keeps swimmers refreshed. Packed lunches are available for days out. The restaurant opens in the summer season, from early June to early September.

Reception is open 09:00-13:00 and 16:00-20:00 in season, with porter service. Happy Easy check-in is 17:00-20:00 (until 22:00 for €30, agreed in advance); check-out is 07:00-10:00. We recommend packing a swim cap for every swimmer, as the pool requires one, so everybody can jump in from the first minute. Is it a beach morning? Walk the 300 m after breakfast, cross the road and claim your spot on the golden sand. Mini club runs every day except Saturday, which makes Saturday the perfect day for a family outing to Rodi Garganico, only 4 km away. Peschici, 13 km along the coast, is lovely for an evening stroll, and its harbour is one of the departure points for the Isole Tremiti. Travelling with a baby? Ask at reception about the infant kit for ages 0-3 (€35 per week), and rent a cot or high chair for €3 per day. Arriving late? Talk to our booking team in advance: check-in runs 17:00-20:00, and a late arrival until 22:00 costs €30.
